Artist who works mainly with video, photography, text and sound, and guest lecturer at various places. She has meditated on the essence of society and (mass) media at several conferences, festivals and also in different publications in Estonia and abroad.

She combines theory and practice and her work is talking about our contemporary society, which is global playful organ that functions as a whole of components of the era. In the recent years she has explored, among other things, construction and deformation of the identity of women, nations and the society, happiness and (becoming) happy / unhappy objects, necessity and obedience, violence, all that and more from a feminist perspective.

Objective:
- To introduce different ways to develop ideas and to develop audio-visual (AV) thinking in order to produce low-tech AV work (video / animation / mixed media) within the constraints of selected problem / issue with emphasis on a particular idea, concept, or emotion.
- To develop ability to examine and recognize (narrative) elements of the story and learn how to put details together into a narrative (video made of photos, archival footage etc.).
- To develop understanding and making sense of the captured events by integrating them into a meaningful whole that makes the events and elements on (moving) images comprehensible.
Outline:
- Construction of narrative, development of story, creation of draft script.
- The role of sound and music in conjunction with various aspects of visual images.
- Creating AV work made of photos and / or video, whether using mobile phone or digital photo camera, or using Internet photos.
- Final Cut Pro (platform - Mac) and DVD Studio Pro (platform - Mac), free software.
- Workshop consists of in-class and out-of-class work (preparation of images, sound and video material, and similar).
- Creation of about 2-minute long AV work with a clear message.
- The workshop is supported by films and discussions, one assignment and independent work, consultations.
Assessment:
- To pass the workshop it is needed to hand in one about 2-minute long AV work with a clear message and an original soundtrack as a working video-DVD, and a student must be able to explain and analyze the AV work, presented and created by him / her.
- Consistent / disjointed process is as important as handing in an AV work.

The key issue of this theoretical workshop is online and offline interactivity, non-linear narrative and real-time interactive consumer-creator.
The workshop is an introduction to some of the bigger concepts and theories of media culture, and to its practice through the different forms of media art (interactive video, avatar-performance, hypertext, playful installation, net art etc.), the most interesting artists / artist groups (entropy8zuper!, mongrel, ®™ARK, Natalie Bookchin, Blast Theory, dlsan, Joan Leandre etc.) and their works.
The workshop is illustrated by many online and offline examples, giving the participants the needed theoretical framework in producing a multimedia project
The workshop is followed by a presentation where suggestions (starting points, do's and don'ts) on the basis of Dagmar's creative work to develop an idea in order to create an interactive audiovisual work will be given.

Objective of the course is to give the students understanding of the main principles on how to create an interactive DVD (design, montage of the elements).
The key issue is preparation and montage of the elements in order to create an interactive DVD with DVD Studio Pro. The course, illustrated by examples (analysis of the examples), consists work in class and independent work - preparation of image, sound and video material, and similar.
To pass the exam it is needed to hand in an interactive DVD, and a student must be able to explain and analyze the DVD, presented and created by him/her.
'Multimedia I', Faculty of Film and Video, Tallinn University Baltic Film and Media School, 36 academic hours.
Objective of the course is to give the students an overview to orientate in the areas of new digital media.
The key issue is interactivity, both online and offline, through the keywords "non-linear narrative" and "real-time interactive consumer-creator".
The course is an introduction to the bigger concepts and theories of media culture, and to its practice through the different forms of media art (interactive video, avatar-performance, hypertext, playful installation, net art etc.) and the most interesting artists / artist groups (Blast Theory, dlsan jne.) and their works.
Lectures (illustrated by different on-line and off-line examples), discussions, assignment in class and independent work. The assignment in class is a segmentation practise using found Internet materials. The independent work is ca 20 min. presentation based on an analysis of a multimedia work from different angles (user friendliness, editing, design etc.).
To pass the exam it is needed to hand in an essay (ca 10 000 - 12 000 characters with spaces) on paper and digitally, based on one theme discussed in class.

One can notice that theatre as the sign of its era has stagnated in many places, not only in Estonia. The history of theatre shows that theatre has to be balanced, being made of intellectual performances and entertainment. This lecture introduces the new theatre-forms like Interactive Theatre, Telematic Theatre, two-dimensional Cyberformance, IRC-drama etc. which indicates to be balanced. New theatre carries the traditions of old theatre, telling important and meaningful stories about the human relationships and the problems of the society.
